In late summer there is nothing nicer than walking along our back pasture and foraging for some goldenrod. Traditionally goldenrod was used to treat edema, fever, gout, arthritis and allergies, but it also makes a lovely drink, hot or iced.
Makes 1 serving
Large handful of goldenrod flowers (rinsed and picked)
2 cups water
Honey or stevia to sweeten
Bring your water to a boil and pour over your flowers. Steep, covered, for 15 minutes. Strain and enjoy hot or over ice.
