American Goulash
If you are looking for a no frills and fuss comfort food, you have found it. Easy enough for a weeknight, and adaptable to whatever veggies you have on hand, it's an easy kid favorite.
Serves-6-8
Ingredients-
1 lb ground beef
1 standard size box of pasta (macaroni noodles, shells, or rigatoni work best)
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 bag frozen mixed veggies OR 2-3 cups of whatever leftover veg you have on hand
1 T Italian blend herbs
Salt and Pepper to taste
Optional-
Grated Parmesan
Directions-
Brown your beef. Add in your veggies, tomatoes, and spices. Simmer 10-20 minutes.
While that simmers, cook your pasta according to package directions.
Drain and toss with your beef and veggie mix. Top with grated Parmesan.
